Warranty
is valid ONLY in Malaysia |
| 2) |
The
customer must register their Sony Product via phone to the Sony
Customer Contact Centre at 1-300-88-1233 or online via www.sony.com.my/mysony
within 7 days of product purchase. |
| 3) |
The
decision of Sony on all questions relating to defects, workmanship
or materials with respect to Sony products shall be final and
conclusive and the customer hereby agrees to abide by Sonys
decision. |
| 4) |
The
following circumstances are chargeable:
| a) |
Business
/ Commercial use |
| b) |
Finishes
or consumable (eg. Batteries, tapes antenna, video head,
belt and cabinet) supplied with this Sony product. |
| c) |
Problems
arising from or due to improper installation, set-up adjustments,
weak our unclear signal reception, dirty video head, connection
with non-Sony products and lack maintenance of Sony product.

| d) |
Damaged
caused by natural disaster (flood, fire, lightning, pollution),
accident, misuse, wrong voltage, unauthorized xx alteration
or modification and repair by person without the knowledge
or approval of Sony |
| e) |
Sony
Product Warranty has expired. |
| f) |
Serial
number on the product has been altered, defaced or removed
in any way. |

| 1) |
For
a period of one (1) year counting from the date of delivery,
Sony warranty that Product is free from defect in materials
and workmanship and in conformity with respective specifications
of Product. |
| 2) |
Upon
discovery of a defect in materials, workmanship or failure to
meet the specification in Products during such one (1) year
period, Sony shall, at Sonys sole discretion, either repair
Products or replace them with the equivalent products without
charging any technical labor fee and repair parts cost to Customer,
on the condition that customer brings Products to Sonys
authorized service shops within the warranty period. In case
of repair or replacement, Sony shall own all the part removed
from the defective Products. Sony uses new and/or reconditioned
parts made by various manufacturers in performing warranty repairs
and replacing Products. Even if Sony repairs or replaces a product,
its original one (1) year warranty term is not extended. |
| 3) |
This
limited warranty covers only the hardware components contained
in Product. It does not cover technical assistance for hardware
or software usage and it does not cover any software products
contained in product; Sony excludes all warranties expressed
or implied in respect of any software provided with Product
and any such software is provided AS IS unless expressly
provided for in any enclosed software limited warranty. Please
refer to the End User License Agreements included with Products
for Customers rights with regards to the manufacturer
or supplier of the software parts if the Product and the parties
respective obligations with respect to the software. |
| 4) |
This
limited warranty is non-transferable. |
| 5) |
With
respect to all service provided, it is your responsibility prior
to Product service to backup the contents of your hard drive,
including any data you have stored or software you have installed
on the hard drive. It is likely that that contents of your hard
drive willl be lost or reformatted in the course of service
and Sony will not be responsible for any damage to or loss of
any programs, data or other information stored on any media
or any part of any Product serviced hereunder or any consequential
damages resulting therefrom. |

IF
DURING THE REPAIR OF PRODUCTS THE CONTENTS OF THE HARD DRIVE
ARE ALTERED, DELETED, OR IN ANY WAY MODIFIED, SONY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE
WHATSOEVER, YOUR PRODUCT WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU CONFIGURED
AS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF SOFTWARE) |
| 7) |
Be
sure to remove all third party hardware, software, features,
part, options, alterations, and attachments not warranted by
Sony prior to sending Product to Sony for service. Sony is not
liable for any loss or damage to these items. |
| 8) |
This
warranty is limited as set out in Section 9 (1) and does not
cover, inter alia, any consumable items (such as batteries)
supplied with Product; any accessory products which is not contained
in the Product (such as mouse, port replicator, AC adapter and
speaker); cosmetic damages; damage or loss to any software programs,
data, or removable storage media; or damage due to (1) acts
of God, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use
or modifications of Product; (2) improper operation or maintenance
of Product; (3) connection to improper voltage supply; or (4)
attempted repair by any other than a Sony authorized personal
computer service facility. |
| 9) |
This
limited warranty does not apply when the malfunction results
from the use of Products in conjunction with accessories, products
or ancillary or peripheral equipment, or where it is determined
by Sony that there is no fault with Product itself. This limited
warranty is valid only in Malaysia. This limited warranty is
invalid if the factory-applied serial number has been altered
or remove from Product. |
| 10) |
SONY
EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABLILITY
AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE TO HE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED
BY LAW. |
